ATP rankings: Vacherot and Darderi break into the top 20

Two places. That is how far both Valentin Vacherot and Luciano Darderi climbed this week, enough to put each into the ATP top 20, at 19 and 20, while the top 10 above them did not move at all. Vacherot's rise makes him the first man from Monaco ranked in the top 20.

Valentin Vacherot, 27, moved to 19 from 21, and Luciano Darderi, 24, moved to 20 from 22, both crossing into the top 20 of the ATP rankings this week. Neither move is a career best: Vacherot's highest ranking remains 16, and so does Darderi's. Vacherot, from Monaco, is now the first man from his country to sit inside the top 20.

The two places they gained came at the expense of two men going the other way, right where the top 20 changed hands: Alexander Bublik dropped to 21 from 17 and Lorenzo Musetti to 24 from 20, both leaving the top 20 that Vacherot and Darderi entered. Lower down, Marco Trungelliti, 36, moved to 87 from 99, though his career high remains 76, and Titouan Droguet, 25, reached a career best at 84 from 89. Three men climbed into the top 100: Hugo Gaston to 97 from 101, Adam Walton to 99 from 102, and Damir Dzumhur to 100 from 105.

None of that reached the top 10, which did not move a single place. Jannik Sinner stays at No. 1, 1,810 points clear of Alexander Zverev at No. 2, and did not play this week. Beneath a top 10 standing completely still, it was the top 20 that did the week's most visible rearranging.
