About
Hi, I am Stijn, a Dutch tennis fan. I have loved this sport since I was a kid, and I have always been just as hooked on the numbers around it: the rankings, the records, the head to heads, the one stat that explains why a match turned. I built TennisTale because I wanted all of that in one clean place.
The idea is simple: one clear, complete home for tennis, for every fan anywhere. Live scores as they happen, every result and ranking, and the full history of the sport back to 1968, all in one quiet place. On top of the numbers sit the tales: short match stories that lead with the stat that decided it.
None of the history would be here without Jeff Sackmann, whose open tennis databases log every match since 1968. They are shared under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license, and I use them here with a lot of gratitude for the years of work behind them.
No ads. No clutter. No cookie walls. Just the tennis.
Notes
Irregular notes on what changed behind the scenes.
Three additions from the past weeks. Every live match now has its own page, with the statistics and the point by point data. Every tournament bracket of 2026 is in, back to January. And profiles in the ATP and WTA top 250 now link to the player's Instagram, checked by hand where sources were thin. Favourite finding from that last job: Cristina Bucsa, world No. 41, chooses to have no public social media at all. Respect.
TennisTale is live. Live scores, results and rankings for both tours, match reports that lead with the number, and the full history of the sport back to 1968.
