ATP rankings: Tsitsipas climbs to No. 51 with the Gstaad title, top 10 unchanged

Thirty-four. That is how many places Stefanos Tsitsipas climbed this week, from No. 85 to No. 51, after winning the title in Gstaad. It is the biggest move made by any tour-level titlist on the ATP rankings this week, and it carries him from the fringe of the top 90 to just outside the top 50.

Stefanos Tsitsipas won the title in Gstaad, a tour-level event, going through the draw unbeaten and beating Raphael Collignon in the final. The run, at 27, lifts him from No. 85 to No. 51, a climb of 34 places. It is not a new career high: his career high remains No. 3, a mark he reached in 2021, so Gstaad returns him toward the top 50 rather than to any new peak.

He was not the only tour-level titlist on the move. Daniel Merida Aguilar won Umag at 21 and jumped from No. 82 to No. 59, his best ranking to date. Andrey Rublev won Bastad and climbed from No. 16 to No. 14. Elsewhere the list reshuffled around several thresholds: Valentin Vacherot moved into the top 20, from No. 21 to No. 19, while Italy's contingent in the top 20 dropped from four to three. Nuno Borges entered the top 50, from No. 52 to No. 48, and Alex Molcan, up from No. 101 to No. 81, and Damir Dzumhur, up from No. 108 to No. 87 after reaching the Umag final, both broke into the top 100. Denis Shapovalov fell out of the top 50, from No. 39 to No. 67, and Luciano Darderi dropped out of the top 20, from No. 18 to No. 21.

None of it touched the top of the list. The entire top 10 is unchanged this week, every player holding the exact spot he held seven days ago. Jannik Sinner stays at No. 1, with a lead of 4970 points over Alexander Zverev at No. 2.
