2 Grand Slam titles anchor the men's record. Goran Ivanisevic won Wimbledon in 2001, the only wildcard ever to take a men's singles major, after losing the final there in 1992, 1994 and 1998, and he banked 24 tour titles in all. Marin Cilic won the 2014 US Open and reached the 2017 Wimbledon and 2018 Australian Open finals on the way to 21 tour titles, then clinched Croatia's 2018 Davis Cup. Earlier, Zeljko Franulovic and Nikola Pilic both reached the Roland Garros final.
Iva Majoli holds the women's high mark, winning Roland Garros in 1997 among her 8 tour titles. Donna Vekic reached the Wimbledon semifinals in 2024, and Mirjana Lucic made the last four at Wimbledon in 1999 and the Australian Open in 2017.
